Ideas for Christmas presents: Why do you want a microscope exactly?
Ideas for Christmas presents? My daughter has some interesting ideas about birthday presents, so not wanted to be outdone, my some very interesting ideas for Christmas….
I love him; well, of course I do.
He makes me laugh, his cuddles are lovely, and his personality is as big as they get.
He does, however, also have a bit of a habit of telling rather tall tales.
If you ask him if he has done something, more often than not, the answer is yes; regardless of whether he actually has. Going to the loo is a case in point. He says he doesn’t need one. Clearly though, he does.
He is doing a wee dance I am sure Paula Radcliffe would have been proud of.
He would do anything to get out of having to go to the toilet, and doing all that silly stuff you have to do while you are in there. Why go for a wee, when you could be driving your sister i-n-s-a-n-e?
This weekend, we were discussing what he wanted for Christmas in the car on the way back from a rather excellent visit to London.
Our chat went something like this...
“Did you see anything in London you would like for Christmas?”
“I’d like a Microscope, mummy,”
“Why’s that then, sweetie?”
“So I can look at my hands to see if they have any germs on them.”
“Oh I see, then what would you do.”
“If they didn’t have germs on after I went to the loo. I wouldn’t need to wash them, would I?”
Not sure there’s a pocket microscope available that’s suitable for that…..Santa?

My son is identical, if he thinks he can get away with it he will try, especially washing hands after going to the toilet. The microscope could have a film over the end with green slimy things on it that looked like germs, great if they wiggled around. Just an idea…

What about getting him one of those bug microscopes? There are loads of different types and they are usually quite small. I used to have one when I was a kid and you could look reeeeally closely at your hands through it! It as about the size of a pen!

That would be a lovely idea – but I am scared if he didn’t find any germs he would never wash his hands again!

Ooh, you could invent one and patent it! Every child will want one, and every mother will buy it just to prove a point!
